Ladies, Laments, and Legends.

Come and enjoy a casual concert, where you can sip a drink while listening to some vocal and keyboard fireworks of the Baroque era. The evening will feature repertoire that explores mythological women singing of love and laments, with music by Handel, Monteverdi, Campra, and Clerambault, and others.

Ensemble Alloro will be joined by Rezonance Ensemble (http://www.rezonanceensemble.com/) to present Stella di Natale; a journey from Advent to Christmas. The programme will feature Baroque favourites such as Alessandro Scarlatti’s Cantata Pastorale per la Nativita di nostro Signore Gesu Cristo and traditional carols, as well as lesser known gems including pieces from the stunning Medieval manuscript Libre Vermell de Montserrat.
